LUCENA CITY - 20 Lucenahin including youths, farmers and fishermen became part of the Digital Farmers Program 102 offered by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON and Smart Communications recently.
This is from the collaboration of the Local Government through the Office of the City Farmer led by City Agriculturist Mellissa Letargo and Lucena City FITS Center.
The purpose of this activity is to help young people as well as farmers to have the correct and appropriate decision-making knowledge regarding their farm as well as to teach them various methods using Online Transactions, e-Commerce. Platforms, Social Media Marketing and Advanced Agri-Applications.
In addition, the training also emphasized on teaching the participants how to use the internet to further develop farming.
Meanwhile, some Lucenahin from the Barangays of Ibabang Dupay, Ilayang Dupay Ibabang Talim, Mayao Castillo, Mayao Silangan, Mayao Crossing and Barangay Salinas attended the two -day training.
They are very grateful to the office of the Department of Agriculture CALABARZON for providing them with this type of training as well as to the talented trainers who shared their knowledge about the topic they discussed.
