CABUYAO CITY, Laguna — Through the Cabuyao OFW Cooperation ‘Hatid-Sundo' Program, the city government of Cabuyao has helped over 431 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), including 35 distressed OFWs.
The purpose of the program is to provide free rides for those departing or returning from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal and to and from the airport.
According to Mayor Rommel Gecolea, the local government has made 21 trips for the free ride of OFWs this year.
“Ang Cabuyao OFW Cooperation po ay binuo natin noong 2017 upang mas mailapit natin ang mga programa ng lungsod at matulungan ang ating mga kababayang OFW,” Gecolea said.
The mayor encouraged those who want to be part of the program to contact the official facebook page of Cabuyao OFW Cooperation.
