BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas City Fire Station in the CALABARZON Region was named Best City Fire Station of CY 2021 in a virtual awarding ceremony held today, August 27 in conjunction with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
BFP Batangas City obtained the highest rating in the said search where the criteria used in selecting the winner were the implementation of fire protection programs, overall appearance of the office and personnel preparedness under the revised BFP Programs on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (BFP-PRAISE).
The highlight of the said celebration was the awarding of awards to the Local Chief Executives in CALABARZON in gratitude for the support they provide which is one of the reasons for the BFP members to provide quality service.
In this regard, Mayor Beverley A. Dimacuha was awarded a plaque of recognition for her continued support and assistance to BFP Batangas City specifically in providing funding for the implementation of Fire Prevention Month activities for the year 2020 to 2021.
Some of the other projects carried out by BFP Batangas City with the help of the local government are the repair of the poblacion Fire Sub-station, repair and maintenance of fire trucks as well as their gas allocation, provision of medical supplies such as personal protective equipment (PPE), medicines and disinfectants against COVID-19, request for water tender fire truck and signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on intensifying the implementation of fire enforcement laws.
Executive Assistant Serge Atienza, Mayor Dimacuha's representative, accepted the plaque from Batangas City BFP chief FCINSP Jeffrey Atienza.
Special awards were also given to private individuals and groups as well as volunteer fire brigades.
Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa was the guest of honor and speaker on the occasion who extended his congratulations to the men in uniform of the BFP for the excellent performance of the BFP personnel in the midst of the pandemic and for providing quality service in line. with the BFP's mission.
