BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas City Trace, a new contact tracing program, would be implemented in the city next week.
According to Atty. Erwin Aguilera, Assistant City Legal Officer, the program is specialized and unique to Batangas City, making it a more effective and speedier way of contact tracing.
"Nais ni Mayor na maipatupad ito sa lalong madaling panahon, para mapabilis ang COVID-19 testing at contact tracing na malaki ang maitutulong upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng virus", Atty. Aguilera said.
In this regard, he encouraged Batangas City locals and tourists, as well as business establishments, private and government agencies in the city, to utilize and download Batangas City Trace or log-in to the mobile app using a smart phone for various transactions.
Fill in the required information until a QR code appears, which can be scanned at the gates of businesses, workplaces, and buildings.
All information is confidential, which only the City Epidemiological Surveillance Unit (CESU) has access to. (with report from PIO Batangas City)
