BATANGAS CITY - The Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Gen. Guillermo Eleazar visited Batangas City Police Station (BCPS) recently to ensure the implementation of the “Intensified Cleanliness Policy” which he initiated during his tenure in May.
According to Eleazar, the ICP aims to ensure cleanliness in all PNP stations/offices, rank and community.
“Ito ay isang “exaggerated cleanliness” bilang repleksyon ng disiplina sa hanay ng mga pulis. Kapag malinis ang police station, maayos ang magiging paglilingkod na magbubunga na maibalik ang tiwala at kumpyansa ng publiko,” Eleazar said.
He also added that through the ICP, cleanliness is expected in the community by advancing the campaign against all forms of crime.
The ICP also wants to reform the recruitment system of the police to ensure that they have a good reputation.
Although he said there is a lack of police in the city and even in the country, he said quality is more important than quantity.
It will be recalled that he implemented the said policy when he was still the director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
He congratulated the constituents of BCPS led by PLt Col Gerry Laylo on the cleanliness and orderliness of BCPS.
He also encouraged them to continue providing effective public service. (with report from PIO Batangas City)
