BATANGAS CITY - The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) gathered online the city and municipal agriculturists of each town and city in the Province of Batangas to ascertain the status of projects under the Hanapbuhay: Ika’y Magtanim / Mangisda Program of the Batangas Provincial Government on 7th September 2021.
The meeting was presided over by the Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Rodrigo M. Bautista, Jr., who stressed the importance of the implementation of agricultural and biosystems engineering groups to promote modern farming with the help of modern machinery. Dr. also stated. Bautista the projects to be implemented by OPAg for the year 2022.
Governor DoDo Mandanas also attended the said virtual meeting and conveyed to the local development partners of the agricultural sector his support and appreciation to the Batangueño farmers and fishermen in the midst of the pandemic.
The governor also called on the Batangueño youth to develop their knowledge in the field of agriculture through continuous education and training, in collaboration with various government agencies and branches in the field of agriculture. (with report from Mon Antonio Carag III, Batangas PIO)
