TAYABAS CITY, Quezon - The program's maiden episode aired on July 9-- Tapatan or Tayabasing Aktibo, Programang Angat sa Talakayang Angkop at Napapanahon, envisioned to reach out to all stakeholders by providing updates on people, passion, and purpose.

Current OIC-SDS Gerlie M. Ilagan initiated Tapatan as a vehicle to reach out, give feedback, and vice versa that leaps over community restrictions and hindrances to mobility touched off by the Covid-19 contagion.

Through the Tapatan program, the School Division Office brings clarifications on concerns of relevance to schools, teachers, learners, and other stakeholders.

Tapatan's greatest impact, as foreseen by advocates, is an increase in support of partners in the programs, projects, and related activities that include, Brigada Eskuwela, Brigada Pagbasa, and the key dimensions in the basic education learning (BE-LCP) to bolster delivery of basic education in the Tayabas City school division.

Tapatan host Joan Kathleen T. Brizuela revealed that the program was planned for a quarterly airing-- but should there be urgent matters that need to be addressed, Tapatan go on an emergency airing.

"We are looking at sustainability. And should there be changes in the division top management, we believed that the program should be continued. We are getting tremendous positive feedback," she said.

Brizuela, as education program specialist is backstaffed by Michael M. Safred, head teacher for the Rosario Quesada Integrated National High School.

"It feels surreal kasi kahit na mula sa maliit na dibisyon, kayang sumabay sa hapon ang edukasyon. 'Yong sakripisyo bilang miyembro ng production team na tumatalon ng gawain maitawid lang ang kinakailangan. Plus flexibility na magdeliver dahil live nga ang show. Ramdam mo ang excitement kapag nasa last segment na-- at relief kapag tapos na at puwede nang matulog," she added.

"Nagpalit kami ng Production Crew for Episode 2-- focused on preparations for opening of classes-- due to health restrictions and protocols. So aside sa technical team at sa akin, the rest of the group had only a half day rehearsal to learn and execute their job. Hindi ba walang imposible kapag nagtutulungan at nagkakaisa. Para sa bayan at mga Batang Tayabasin patuloy kaming magsisikap na maghanap ng solusyong maitawid ang edukasyo," Brizuela noted.
