PAKIL, Laguna - The Pakil local government has temporarily closed the Rural Health Unit in Poblacion to make way for a massive disinfection of the facility on September 3.

According to Mayor Vince Soriano, it is necessary to close the facility because three RHU nurses tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing the RT-PCR Test conducted recently.



Moreover, the mayor also immediately ordered to disinfect the ambulances used to deliver medical assistance to the citizens.

All office staff will undergo self-isolation and self-monitoring for five days to ensure they are safe from the COVID-19 threat before finally returning to operations.



Meanwhile, vaccination will continue in the town this coming Wednesday, September 8 while the swabbing schedule will remain on September 7 and monitoring and contact tracing will continue in the town. (with report from Mayor Vince Soriano)
