Some barangays in Lobo placed under granular lockdown

LOBO, Batangas - Three barangays in Lobo town have been subjected to granular lockdown by the local government due to the continuous increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, according to the Lobo Public Information Office.

In a report by Lobo PIO on their Facebook Page, it announced that the lockdown will last for 14 days during which residents will not be allowed to go out except as authorized individuals.

The PIO did not mention the specific barangays that will be subjected to lockdown.

The lockdown also aims to strictly focus on conducting contact tracing in the affected areas to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 in the community.

Granular lockdown is limited to sites or districts with high virus cases which will be managed by the Sangguniang Barangay and Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT).

For this reason, the local government called on the public to adhere to basic health protocols such as proper physical distancing, wearing a face mask/face shield, and proper hand washing.

In the event of experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, the local government urges the public to contact their barangay, even the Rural Health Unit and hospitals for immediate action and to prevent infection.

Based on data from the Lobo Rural Health Unit, this Sunday, September 19 the total number of Covid-19 victims in their town climbed to 506 of which 98 of them were active cases. (with report from PB, FC, PIA4A)
