BATANGAS CITY - In a virtual awarding ceremony held today, October 1, the city's Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation Office was named the Best SK Federation Office in the province.
They received the SK Magiting award in recognition of the outstanding leadership of SK Federation officials and the successful implementation of youth-led activities that have inspired other SK councils during this pandemic.
The contest is a project of the Batangas Provincial SK Federation as part of the celebration of Youth Week.
It aims to inform and recognize the initiatives of youth leaders or SK and encourage them to further develop leadership skills and further promote youth empowerment.
The established city/municipal Youth Development Council with approved resolutions, proper use of funds for SK COVID-19 response programs, approved City Development Youth Development Plan, and updated SK profiling data served as the foundation for selecting the winner.
