IMUS, Cavite - The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) recently made available to the public the National Digital Vaccine Certificate (VaxCertPH) to facilitate the travel of OFWs and visitors from Central Luzon and Calabarzon.
Individuals will be able to travel in and out of the country with VaxCertPH as official proof that they have been vaccinated.
Emmanuel Rey Caintic also said that they will require this certificate to ensure their health safety prior to traveling to their destination, for which he also thanked the LGus for setting up data rectification booths.
According to Usec. Jonathan Malaya of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), only OFWs and passengers from Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and the National Capital Region (NCR) are permitted to use the portal.
He said that the VaxCertPH portal was created for people who don't have a cellphone, can't download a digital certificate and still need to print, and need to correct their data.
"Our ultimate target is that people no longer have to go to the booths since the application is self-service and downloadable. So, the fewer people who go to the booth, the better," Malaya said.
They also intend to officially launch the said application across the country by the end of October.
