BATANGAS CITY —The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Philippine National Police (PNP) held a simultaneous launched of the Duterte Legacy Campaign on Thursday, September 30, in all 17 regions around the country.
The caravan, which has the theme "Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery," is a collaboration of all government agencies and volunteers from the private sector that aims to inform the public about the government's programs, policies, accomplishments, and efforts to improve the lives of Filipinos.
For Calabarzon, the regional launch was held in Batangas Police Provincial Office, Camp Miguel Malvar in Batangas City and is expecting for more or less 100 participants.
Secretary of State for Communications Jose Ruperto Martin Andanar and Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Eduardo Ano delivered virtual welcome remarks.
Officials from various national and regional government agencies, including the Department of Health, Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Works and Highways, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Labor and Employment, and Philippine National Police, were present to share real-life stories of people who have benefited from various government interventions in their communities.
The Philippine Information Agency, the Philippine Air Force, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Office of Civil Defense, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Office of Civil Defense, the Social Security System, and other national government agencies are among those who have joined.
The initiative provides services and on-the-ground activities to participants, with the goal of bringing essential government services to the people.
