BATANGAS CITY — The Batangas city government’s collection of business taxes increased by 112.58 percent according to the quarterly report of its City Treasurer’s Office (CTO).

From the target of P 632,247,313, the CTO collected P711,813,224.

For fees and charges, the said office has already collected P117, 939,726.12. They hope that before the end of the year, the target of P121,775,022 will be exceeded.

The collection of the city's Economic Enterprises increased by 119.92% or P9,063,006.76.

From this year's target of P45,498,184, the CTO collected P54,561,190.76.

The CTO also expects it to meet the target for Real Property Tax (RPT). Currently, a total of P752,495,616 has been collected against the target of P763,097,814.

According to OIC City Treasurer Arminda Madayag, such collections have been greatly increased due to the prompt payment of industries and establishments in the city.

“Bagamat hindi pa tapos ang taon, masasabi natin na maganda ang resulta ng annual collection ng buwis ng pamahalaang lungsod sa kabila ng pandemya” ayon kay Madayag.said Madayag. - PB, PIA4A (with report from Batangas City PIO)
