ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal - The Department of Labor and Employment – Rizal recently turned over P 30,000 worth respectively to livelihood grants to parents of child laborers from Cainta, Rizal and Antipolo City.
The agency turned-over four sewing packages, two negosyo karts, and one welding set to seven parents of child laborers on November 15 at the Ynares Center, Antipolo City.
DOLE adds that the distributed aid is based the skillset requested during the needs assessment period.
The livelihood grant awarding is in line with the celebration of the 29th National Children’s Month themed “New Normal na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!”
According to DOLE-Rizal, the firmly upholds the rights of the children by promoting and implementing programs for their protection such as the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP which aims to eradicate child labor in all forms. (GG/PIA-Rizal with reports from DOLE-Rizal)
