MONTALBAN, Rizal — According to the local government, the total number of residents fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in this town has risen to 63,339 people.

It records for 22% of the town's total target population of 292,668 in order to achieve herd immunity. Montalban's total population is estimated to be 418,097 according to local government data.

In addition, another 76,670 people have already received the first dose of the vaccine and are awaiting the second dose to be fully protected against infectious diseases.

The local government is urging its constituents to accept any currently available vaccine because they are all safe and effective against the severe symptoms of Covid-19.

“Bagaman maaaring maghintay sa nais na brand ng bakuna ay mas mabuting mabakunahan agad upang mailayo sa banta ng nakahahawang sakit, maliban na lamang kung mayroong medical conditions at pinayuhan ng doctor sa partikular na brand ng bakuna,” the local government said on their FB page.
