SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna —Some deprived of liberty (PDL) persons detained at the San Pedro City Jail have been vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the city's Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
Based on the BJMP-San Pedro report, the first dose of Sinovac vaccine allocation was given to PDLs with the help of the city government and the initiative of City Jail Warden JCINSP Jerome Soriano and JSINSP Rosemarie Encarnacion.
Soriano stressed that the PDLs who participated in the vaccination program went through the necessary vaccination process.
The City Health Office - Vaccination Team, some staff of the Department of Health (DOH) and BJMP participated in providing proper information, screening and monitoring of PDLs in the vaccination.
According to the BJMP, the PDLs who took part in the fight against Covid-19 hope that the vaccine will help for their safety and health which will bring them closer to their families again. (with report from MO, PIA4A)
