BATANGAS CITY — Three other towns in Batangas province were declared safe from the threat of African Swine Fever (ASF) recently.
Among the areas declared ASF-free are the towns of Calaca, MataasnaKahoy and Talisay, according to its Provincial Veterinary Office on Wednesday, October 27.
According to Assistant Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Rafael Baculi, local governments, government agencies, and even the private sector have helped a lot to eradicate the virus in their province.
Representatives from the Municipal Agricultural Offices received ASF-free certifications in the towns.
Director of the International Training Center on Pig Husbandry Dr. also informed. Ruth S. Miclat-Sonaco and the National Livestock Program that they expect more towns in the country to be declared ASF-free. (reports from PB, PIA4A)
