On December 1, Mayor Beverley Dimacuha and Congressman Marvey Mario led the distribution of the allowance to 270 EBD college scholars from five Solid North barangays.

In the first semester of SY 2021-2022, each scholar received a P3,000 allowance, with the P5,000 portion of the scholarship subsidy paid directly to their school as tuition.



Each barangay cluster has a set schedule for distributing scholarship allowances.

According to Mayor Dimacuha, P80 million has been allocated this year for this program.



He emphasized in his message to the beneficiaries to study hard and maintain good manners.

“Edukasyon at diploma ang maaaring ipamana ng mga magulang sa kanilang mga anak, ngunit higit dito ay ang magandang karakter at ang pagkakaroon ng dispilina”, said the Mayor.



He also reminded the youth to be responsible in using social media and avoid slander.

Team EBD members participated in the allowance distribution. It is managed by the Mayor’s Action Center (MAC) assistant the City Treasurer’s Office. (PIO Batangas City)
