ALFONSO, Cavite — The local government of Alfonso approved and passed Executive Order no. 67 s. 2021 suspending the mandatory wearing of face shields in the municipality effective Friday, November 12, 2021.
The order followed after the loosening of quarantine protocols in NCR and in the CALABARZON regions due to the continuous decline in the number of CoViD-19 cases recorded in the past weeks.
The ordinance reads that wearing of face shields will be voluntary as may be a personal safety practice among the citizenry.
The mandatory wearing of face shields will be observed and implemented inside public transportations; in hospitals or health care facilities; closed spaces; and crowded places with plenty people nearby.
Despite the passing of the ordinance, the LGU thru the Municipal Health Office firmly reminds the public to continue to stay safe thru the continued practice of the minimum health standards since the CoViD-19 is still very much present within our midst and the province had not yet reached the target herd immunity with the CoViD-19 vaccination. — Ruel Francisco, PIA Cavite/GG
