BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas City Government recently launched the "Magkatuwang Tayo Livelihood Program" in collaboration with Eupacare Marketing Inc., with the goal of assisting city residents from various sectors in starting businesses.
Mayor Beverley Dimacuha and Cong. Mario Marvey presented a free starter kit to 700 KALIPI members, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, zumba group members, and senior citizens.
Each starter kit contains P2,500.00 in Eupacare products to be sold by the beneficiaries.
Some of these are food supplements, handwash, alcohol, chemical free disinfectant, and plant fertilizer.
The salable can be repurchased by products that they will resell.
"Walang ibabalik na puhunan, hangad natin na makapag umpisa kayo ng maliit na negosyo at magkaroon ng pagkakakitaan at sana ay mapaunlad ninyo ito", said Mayor Dimacuha.
Beneficiaries and their customers also have a chance to win cash prizes in the monthly draws and P2M in the Eupacare grand raffle draw on December 24.
Beneficiaries underwent an entrepreneurship orientation seminar to ensure the success of such a project.
Also present on this occasion were Vice Mayor Dr. Jun Berberabe, councilors and other members of the EBD team. (with report from PIO Batangas City)
