LUCENA CITY - The profit of major stores in the City Market have risen. This is the statement given by Mall Market Administrator Noel Palomar in an interview with TV12 Balita.

According to Palomar, this was due to the drop in the price of basic commodities such as chicken and fish from its price this past holiday season.

The Mall Market Administrator stressed that even though some products have increased in price slightly, there are still many who have dropped in price.

Based on the current record of his office, most basic commodities dropped by about five pesos per kilo.

He said the fluctuating prices of the aforementioned stores, including pork, are unavoidable due to its supply.

But he said there are still many alternative foods for Lucena consumers who are weak in their budget such as vegetables.

Meanwhile, according to Palomar, the revival of sales in the City Market is a big thing because he said it will increase revenue in the market, especially for shoppers. (PIO Lucena/Josa Cruzat)
