Classes at all levels in Calabarzon, suspended from January 17 to 29 - DepEd CALABARZON




CALABARZON - The Calabarzon Department of Education suspended classes at all grade levels in the region from Jan. 17 to Jan. 29, 2022, amid an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Signed on Thursday, Regional Memorandum No. 32, p. 2022 the temporary suspension of all other school activities, whether physical or virtual, involving school-based personnel, teachers, students, and parents.



“DepEd CALABARZON announces the suspension of classes in all grade levels on January 17 - 29, 2022. This suspension includes all other school activities, whether physical or virtual (online), that involve school-based personnel, learners, and parents,” he said in the said memorandum.

“The schedule of midyear break on January 31 – February 5, 2022, shall remain as stipulated in DO 29, s. 2021,” he added.



On Wednesday, DepEd urged regional and schools division offices to exercise discretion in suspending classes and other teaching-related activities this January amid the proliferation of COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, DepEd said private schools, in consultation with parents ’associations, may also impose suspension of classes and K to 12 learning activities due to the high risk of COVID-19. (with reports from GMA News, DepEd Tayo Calabarzon)
