CAVINTI, Laguna - The CENRO Sta. Cruz received an intelligence report about allegedly downed trees in Brgy. Udia, Cavinti, Laguna. In this regard, a group from the Enforcement and Monitoring Section (EMS) led by OIC, Chief Daniel Arthur, sailed to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Cavinti office to communicate about the report and discuss the next steps.
A joint-operation in collaboration with PNP Cavinti was mounted in Brgy. Udia, Cavinti, Laguna to verify the said report. The group was exposed to 14 pieces of Santol round logs.
The next day, the said offices in the barangays of Udia and Bangco, Cavinti, Laguna again launched a joint operation under the leadership of OIC, CENRO Venerando Garcia. 11 sacks of charcoal, three (3) furniture sets, 19 pieces of Santol Lumber and ten (10) pieces of Maytalang, Poas, Paitan, Santol and Malapapaya Round Logs were seized.
The said operations of CENRO Sta. Cruz through collaboration and interaction with CENRO Oliver Olivo of CENRO Real, Mayor Milbert Oliveros of Cavinti Local Government, and PLT. Sergio Amaba Jr. of PNP Cavinti.
The seized wood, charcoal and furniture sets are now in the care of CENRO Sta. Cruz located in Brgy. Duhat, Sta. Cruz, Laguna to preserve such forest products.
