BIÑAN CITY - Persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens in Biñan City no longer have to wait in line to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
This follows the city government's introduction of house-to-house vaccination for residents of the sector who, due to their medical condition, find it difficult to travel to designated vaccination centers.
According to the city government's Gender and Development Office, those who want to be served by house-to-house vaccination need only contact the President of the association of PWDs assigned to each barangay.
At present, vaccinations are being carried out continuously at various vaccination sites in the city where walk-in residents for the age of 12 and above are welcome.
It has set a schedule for the residents of each barangay to be vaccinated to prevent the influx of people to the vaccination centers and to properly implement the minimum public health standards.
The ‘vax on wheels’ mobile vaccination clinic will also continue to be launched in the barangays to bring vaccination against the infectious Covid-19 disease closer to the public.
It has also started administering additional doses of vaccine or booster shots for fully vaccinated individuals to provide additional protection against various variants of Covid-19.
