ANGONO, Rizal - The meeting was recently initiated by the Angono Comelec, and PLT Mark Lowie Tarroquin represented the Angono police.

The agenda for the meeting was "Creation of Task Force to Tear Down and Remove Unlawful Election Materials".

As chief of police/officer in charge, Pol LtCol Ferdinand Ancheta leads the Angono PNP.

Meanwhile, according to the national Comelec, if there is a complaint regarding the said policy, just file a complaint with the said office.

“While anyone with a grievance in connection with the Comelec’s exercise of its duties is free to seek recourse with the courts, it could be helpful if they were to file formal complaints with the Comelec itself specifying the time and place of the alleged violations,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said yesterday, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022.

Jimenez's reaction was also triggered by the statement of the camp of presidential candidate Vice-President Leni Robredo that the authorities illegally erased and removed the mural of Leni supporters in Echague, Isabela.

According to Barry Gutierrez, spokesperson of VP Leni, Comelec Resolution No. 10730 the placement of campaign materials in authorized common areas in public spaces and private property. (with report from Richard Gappi)
