Several provinces in Calabarzon seeing downward trend of COVID-19

CAINTA, Rizal - There was a decrease in the recorded cases of COVID-19 in the National Capital Region (NCR), Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal.

In a tweet, OCTA Research Dr. Guido David that there is a downward trend of COVID-19 in some areas in CALABARZON while NCR, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and Quezon remain at "high risk".



Rizal province dropped to the "moderate risk" classification.

Based on data released by the government, of all the provinces in CALABARZON, Rizal has the lowest reproduction rate at 0.69 and the highest in Quezon at 1.35.



Meanwhile, when it comes to the average daily attack rate, Quezon recorded the lowest data with 11.13 while Cavite recorded the highest with 32.66, followed by Laguna, 31.96.

Quezon and Laguna have the same positivity rate of 45% - the highest in CALABARZON.



Quezon also recorded the highest healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) which is currently at 52% while 41% in Rizal which is the lowest in the entire region.
