ANTIPOLO CITY - In the recent Golden Jab awarding of the Department of Health (DOH), the Antipolo city government was recognized as one of the cities in the region with the fastest and highest number of those vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the local government, the city received three (3) awards from the agency as one of the LGUs in Region 4A that achieved herd immunity and vaccination the fastest without becoming residents.
Among the best practices identified by the DOH are the city's demand generation strategy, accessible vaccination sites, mega vax sites, and informational materials for COVID-19 vaccination.
The city received the Umalohokan Award (Best Practices) and was named two (2) times as Top 3 LGU's (highest number of vaccinated) in the urban category in the JAB Well Done Award for National Vaccination Day Part 1 and Part 2 .
“Hindi natin makakamit ang parangal na ito kung wala po sa ating tabi ang ating mga masisipag na healthcare workers, partners, stakeholders at higit sa lahat, sa ating mga mamamayan na RUMESBAKUNA sa laban natin sa COVID-19,” said the local government.(with reports from Antipolo City Mayor Jun-Andeng Ynares FB Page)
