BATANGAS CITY - The city government of Batangas was recognized as the Local Government Unit (LGU) with the best practices in demand generation and communication strategy for National Vaccination Days (NVD) 1 & 2.
This is part of the Department of Health's (DOH) Umalohokan Award, which was accepted by City Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Barrion and Liceria Garcia, Nurse Program Coordinator of the National Immunization Program, at the recent National Vaccination Days Recognition Awarding.
According to Dr. Barrion, the Department of Health (DOH) observed Batangas City's combative COVID-19 vaccination campaign, which included social media, radio and television advertisements, and other information dissemination platforms, as well as Mayor Beverley Dimacuha's call to the people to get vaccinated.
The city was also named Top Performing LGU in Region 4A in the submission of Line List Entries for the month of February by the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT)- Vaccine Information Management System.
