LUCENA CITY - The Schools Division of Lucena City, in collaboration with Local IATF personnel, has authorized all 58 public schools and one private school to begin progressive expansion of limited-face-to-face classes on April 5.

Dr. Hermogenes M. Panganiban, Schools Division Superintendent, congratulated all teaching and non-teaching personnel who followed the interim guidelines set by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Health (DOH) on the expansion of limited-face-to-face classes, making SDO Lucena City's public schools 100 percent allowed to offer in-person classes, in an interview.

“Congratulations to our schools for being compliant with all the requirements needed for the progressive expansion of limited face to face. Thank you to all teaching and non-teaching personnel, school leaders and external stakeholders for the support extended to make it possible,” Dr. Panganiban said.

Dr. Panganiban also acknowledged the composite team's efforts, saying, "The TA provided by the composite team also played an important role. Everyone's efforts are greatly appreciated," he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Phillip B. Gallendez, OIC-ASDS, led the TAPATAN Team, which included Chief Education Supervisors, Unit Heads, Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, Specialists, PDOs, Medical Team, and select SDO personnel, in monitoring the implementation of schools.

According to Dr. Belen M. Andal, limited face-to-face classes Focal Person, as of April 4, there were 7,878 students and over 1,200 teaching and non-teaching personnel involved in the expansion of basic education classes.

The participating schools provide students with one-of-a-kind welcome greetings.
