BATANGAS CITY - The city government held a dry-run for the opening and reception of tourists to Mt. Banoy recently, led by the Technical Working Committee (TWG) on Mt. Banoy Protection and Tourism Development.

The TWG is assisted in the said work by barangay officials, cooperatives and residents involved in the said project.

Among the visitors or tourists in the dry-run were members of KALIPI, day care workers, Sangguniang Kabataan officers and some city government employees.

In the evaluation, the safety of tourists when climbing the mountain was emphasized, especially if the weather is bad.

In this regard, there will be earlier announcements and reminders for tourists.

First aid personnel will be assigned to each shuttle to be used and there will also be first aid and information desks in the lowland, midland and upland.

Tourist guides will undergo more training in tour guiding to make tourists feel a warm welcome and make it more interesting to visit here.

They will also be provided with first aid kits.

They are also encouraged to bring their own water tumbler and must present their vaccination card.

The soft opening of Mt. Banoy on April 9, due to the estimated inclement weather that day and will instead continue the ongoing dry-run for further preparation.
