GUMACA, Quezon - "My dream for the Municipality of Gumaca is for the people to feel safe and secure at all times."

This was Gumaca Mayor Webster Letargo's statement on the distribution of Basic Radio Communication Orientation Seminar and Distribution of Radio Communication Equipment in 32 barangays of Gumaca, Quezon on March 17, 2022, held at the KALASAG-MDRRMO office in Barangay Tabing Dagat.



This event is supported by Councilors Rico Baal and Ylagan and Louie Nava. This activity was carried out under the supervision of Jefferson Uy, Head of KALASAG-MDRRMO.

This radio-based communication system and hand-held radios are usable for barangay residents to use during emergencies in their barangay and neighboring barangays.



This will ensure that any disaster or emergency is responded to and resolved in a timely manner. It's also useful in remote areas where cellphone service is unavailable or there's no signal.

On this occasion, the proper use of communication equipment was also taught for the benefit of the citizens.



Mayor Letargo expressed his gratitude to all of the barangay officials who attended, led by the Captains and Councilors.
