Community Fish Landing Center to rise in Infanta, Super Health Center Facility next
Municipal Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace America

INFANTA, Quezon - To help the local fishermen speed up their sales and provide even more medical attention to those in need, so that they no longer have to go to the Claro M. Recto Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Gumian. The Infanta Community Fish Landing Center and Super Health Center Facility were prioritized by Mayor Filipina Grace America and Vice Mayor Noli Villamor.

Infanta's local government is currently constructing Community Fish Landing Centers.

Some of the earlier barangays with Community Fish Landing Centers are in Langgas and Abiawin, where funding is provided by the Office of the Public Engineer's 20 percent Economic Development Fund (EDF).

These structures will help Infantahing fishermen sell their catch faster and provide the community with a nearby source of fresh fish.

Meanwhile, Architect Eric Jose Miras and Rodolfo Esteban of the Department of Health Region 4-A CALABARZON paid a visit to Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace America to discuss the Super Health Center Facility Project.

In connection with the visit was the visit of the said DOH representatives along with the Local Government staff Mr. Elmer Sarona, from the Municipal Health Office, Mr. Brylle Borreo from the MPDO office, Mrs. Norie Evardome from the PENRO/MENRO office and Remegio Magallanes III from the Mayor's Office-Info Section, at the proposed site in Barangay Dinahican where the said project will be built.

The “super health center” will have its own diagnostic center, out-patient department (OPD) including several medical specialties.

These projects greatly benefit the Infantahin by removing the need for them to travel to the neighboring town. More Local Government projects are expected to be added in the future. (with reports from via Cornelia P. Cepeda/ LGU Infanta)
