PAGBILAO, Quezon - The Pagbilao local government has launched 'Oplan Lakbay Alalay' to ensure motorist safety during the Holy Week season.
The local government has set up Municipal Assistance Desks in strategic locations throughout town, and emergency responders are also on standby.
Based on the directive of Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic, the authorities assigned the Municipal Assistance Desk at Talipan Checkpoint, Pagbilao Bypass Road, Maharlika Highway Junction, Maharlika Highway in part of Barangay Tambak, and at Binahaan Crossing.
There were also help desks at East Malicboy Crossing, Calmar Road in Barangay Bukal, and Bagong Tulay in Barangay Mapagong.
Among the authorities on standby at the municipal assistance desks were from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Pagbilao Municipal Police, Bureau of Fire Protection-Pagbilao, force multupliers from barangays and other sectors. (with report from Pagbilao LGU)
