BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Students from various schools in this city will now be able to keep up with their online learning with the help of the Digital Education Program and Cybersafe Learning for Education Project of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The DICT recently donated information and communications technology devices such as laptops to Bacoor schools as part of its efforts to support the digitalization of education in the country and help students expand their knowledge, particularly in advanced technology.
The project also seeks to develop cyberspace learning hygiene for schools to protect students and teachers from cyber threats.
The Cybersafe Learning for Education Project is a component of the DICT’s Digital Education Program (DEP), which aims to optimize the use of ICT to enhance cyber education and promote digital literacy.
In partnership with the local government units, the DICT, through its Digital Education Program, helps facilitate ICT-enabled education, especially during the pandemic.
The city government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Lani Revilla, expressed gratitude to DICT for the donation of laptops to be distributed to student beneficiaries of the DEP program. — Ruel Francisco, PIA Cavite
