CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI Laguna) has partnered with SM Supermalls to hold a fashion exhibit entitled Moda Laguna in The Podium, Mandaluyong City, that aims to promote designer gowns made by Lagunenses.
The coutures that participated in the said exhibit were primarily from the micro, small, and medium enterprises sector or MSMEs. One of the goals of DTI Laguna is for them to enter into a new market and reach new customers.
DTI Laguna Provincial Director Clarke Nebrao said that the exhibit would pave the way for a wider reach and exposure for the coutures.
The highlight of the exhibit is the gowns made by Chico Estiva Couture from San Pablo City. Founder Chico Estiva believes that wearing elegant gowns should be made easy and affordable.
Their business specializes in making personalized gowns and customized styles. Estiva believes that being innovative in its services can bring a special, complete experience for their clients.
The exhibit, which is the second initiative for this year, is just one of the many efforts of the department to assist MSMEs through marketing activities to help them bounce back, especially from the effects of the pandemic. The exhibit runs from April 19 to 24, 2022. — Christopher Hedreyda, PIA 4A (with reports from DTI Laguna)
