27M worth of shabu seized in Angono

CAMP BGEN VICENTE P. LIM – Regional Director of Police Regional Office CALABARZON, Police Brigadier General Antonio C. Yarra commends Rizal Police Provincial Office police operatives as they seized more than 4 kilos of shabu worth more than 27 Million and arrest 3 drug peddlers.

‘I would like to commend our police behind this successful anti-illegal drug operations for they were able to pull out from the drug market this volume of illegal drugs and arrest these drug pushers. As we strive hard to employ drug demand strategies we will not stop in reducing its supply in our communities.’ RD Yarra said.



Accordingly, a buy-bust operation was conducted by police operatives of Rizal Provincial Intelligence Unit and Rizal Drug Enforcement Unit on May 5, 2022, about 3:20 AM at Blk-6 Lot-9 Grand Valley Phase-2 Domsa High-way, Brgy. Mahabang Parang, Angono Rizal wherein police poseur-buyer was able to acquire a volume of drugs from the suspects in exchange of buy-bust money.

The operation stemmed from an information from a confidential informant that there is a rampant selling of illegal drugs on the said address and a certain ‘Axel’ was behind the illegal activity.



Arrested persons who will be charged for Violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 were identified as: 1. Aries Apeleña y Eburlas @ Axel; 2. Dennis Delo Santos y Morallos @ Dennis, both residents of place of incident; and 3. Mariz Sedaya y Dela Cruz @ Zyra, residents of Brgy. Macamot, Binangonan, Rizal. They were subjected to drug test examination by Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit, together with the items seized.

Seized pieces of evidence were: a. eight (8) pcs. Heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu, b. four (4) pcs. aluminum coffee wrap containing vacuum sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with estimated gross weight of more or less 4 kilos and 5 grams, with estimated street value of PHP 27,234,000.00, one (1) pc. of Php1,000.00 peso bill genuine money together with three (3) pcs. boodle money used as buy-bust money.



Said operation was recorded with the use of an alternative recording device and the conduct of inventory of seized items were done on the spot witnessed by a barangay kagawad, Wilfredo Dela Cerna and a media personality, Paul Quintero.
