BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas City Police Station (BCPS) has completed an implementations evaluation process and an impact audit validation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to determine a station's accomplishments, best practices, community impact, and plan for more effective service.

The process was conducted on May 19, where the impact audit validation team also noted the support provided by the City Advisory Group (CAG) as BCPS’s strategic partner.



PLTCOL Salvador Solana, Acting Chief of Police, presented the groundbreaking results of the city's intensified collaboration between BCPS and the city government, barangays, CAG, advocacy support groups, force multipliers, and other law enforcement agencies from 2019 to 2021.

These include the availability of additional investigative equipment, additionally trained investigators, and their continued attendance. At enhancement training seminars, development of crime solution efficiency, lowering the index crime rate and adding certified mobilized barangays and the high number of community awareness activities.



PLTCOL Solana stressed that these breakthrough results have had a massive impact on the community, including increasing BCPS’s crime solution efficiency by 30.97%, from 61.04% in 2017 it was 97.91% in 2021.

He also said that the index crime rate dropped from 9.71% in 2018 to 5.95% in 2021, and the community awareness activities of the city PNP increased by 88.01%.



In this regard, registered businesses increased by 19.21%, and employees in Batangas City increased by 17.71% in 2021.

According to the auditing team, this is the most significant impact on the city of good performance and partnership of the police and community.

The institutionalization evaluation process will be known in the coming weeks.
