LUCENA CITY - In observance of this year’s National Women’s Month with the theme “We Make Change Work For Women -Women’s Agenda Towards Development!”, Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Quezon - Lucena Chapter recently conducted a blood-letting activity in Lucena City in coordination with the Lucena PNP under the supervision of PLt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes.
The said bloodletting activity has a theme, “Dugong Alay, Hatid ay Buhay” its primary purpose is to collect blood donations for individuals who need it, especially during the pandemic.
Several Kabataan Kontra Droga and Terorismo officers in the city, Lucena PNP personnel, and other individuals volunteered to donate blood and joined in the activity.
According to the donors, apart from helping those in need, they also said that it could help them a lot because it improves their emotional and physical health and maintains proper blood circulation in their bodies.
The police and the Philippine Red Cross extend their heartfelt gratitude for the success of the activity through the voluntary participation of the public.
Meanwhile, the said bloodletting activity collected fifteen (15) blood bags.
