IMUS CITY - Throughout the Chikiting Vaccination Days, held on April 28 and 29, the Imus City Health Office staff went from house to house vaccinating children in their city.
According to the city government's notice, their vaccination team rotated to provide catch-up immunization to infants aged 0 to 23 months on May 26-27 and June 23-24, 2022.
Vaccination against Covid-19 will be temporarily stopped at health centers in Velarde, Plaridel, and Greengate during the aforementioned Chikiting Vaccination Days to make way for the program.
The Department of Health previously announced a catch-up immunization drive for infants and children under two to protect them against various diseases.
Vaccines to be given to children include BCG and Hepatitis B, Pentavalent, Oral Polio, Inactivated Polio, Pneumococcal Conjugate, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Vaccine.
According to the DOH, the Calabarzon region is among those conducted and participated in the Chikiting Bakunation Days.
It aims to provide routine and catch-up immunization to infants in the region to protect them against various diseases.
According to the DOH, they should vaccinate babies before one year old.
Vaccines to be given to children include BCG and Hepatitis B, Pentavalent, Oral Polio, Inactivated Polio, Pneumococcal Conjugate, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Vaccine.
The agency advises parents to contact the nearest health center to have their children included in the program.
