IMUS, Cavite - The Calabarzon Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB 4-A) is already making the rounds of a proposal to raise the region's workers' wages.
Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, Department of Labor and Employment Region 4-A Director Ezekiel Ronie de Guzman, and representatives from labor, management, and workers in the province recently attended a public hearing at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan's Legislative Building.
Earlier, a Provincial Resolution was filed in Cavite province to promote the wage increase for Caviteños.
According to Revilla, the public consultation held throughout the region in April was successful.
According to Revilla, it is time to raise workers' wages in their Cavite, despite the continuous rise in commodity and petroleum prices, which has resulted in wage increases in neighboring regions such as the National Capital Region (NCR).
On the other hand, Director de Guzman assured us that it is possible to increase the wages of workers in Cavite province and the entire region. (with report from PIA 4A)
