PLARIDEL, Quezon - The national government, through the Office of Civil Defense Calabarzon, has officially turned over the newly-built P34.7 million multi-purpose evacuation center to the local government of Plaridel, Quezon on April 23, 2022.

The evacuation center located in Sitio Libis, Brgy. Tanauan, Plaridel, Quezon, can accommodate 106 families or 530 individuals, complete with a mess hall, kitchen, storage area, playroom, prayer room, breastfeeding rooms, multi-purpose rooms/administration offices, separate male and female toilets, and baths.

In pursuant of the Memorandum Circular No. 18 s. 2018, issued by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the OCD Calabarzon continues to oversee and implement the project of building multi-purpose evacuation centers throughout the region. — CH, PIA4A
