ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal — Line government agencies convene for the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement (ISARA) program to award Rizal Province’s beneficiaries.

The program held at the Barangay Bagong Nayon Covered Court, Antipolo City, this April 20 is a collective effort of line government agencies to provide mobile services on a community level.

Presidential Adviser for Streamlining of Government Processes Secretary Leoncio “Jun” Evasco Jr. stated that the ISARA program is vital in highlighting the government’s services, especially for the marginalized and youth sectors.

“This shows that the citizens no longer need to find the government since government services are brought to the community levels for their ease and convenience,” says Sec. Evasco.

Mobile Gov’t services & ceremonial turnover

National agencies such as the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Education (DepEd), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) also set up booths. They offered various services available for participants of the ISARA program. The Department of Health (DOH) provided free medicine and pneumonia vaccination services.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) also offered free mobile services.

Free vegetable seedlings and ornamental fish such as molly were also distributed by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in their respective booths.

A ceremonial turnover for various forms of assistance ranging from housing and livelihood programs was headed by the DHSUD, DSWD, LTO, LTFRB, DA, National Housing Authority (NHA), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and other line government agencies.

DepEd led the computerization programs for selected public schools, while DICT provided IT equipment packages to selected barangays.

BFAR distributed motorized banca, tilapia fingerlings, and nets, and the PCA turned over high-yielding coconut varieties and check incentives worth P 1,8651,500 to their respective beneficiaries. — GG, PIA Rizal
