MAGALLANES, Cavite - The Magallanes-Samahang Magsasaka ng Kay-Apas at Medina (MAGSAMAKAME) displayed their good harvests at the Harvest Festival, which was held on May 26 in Magallanes, Cavite in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A).
The solar-powered irrigation system, hauling truck, tractor, and other farming inputs are among the interventions provided by DA-4A to the organization.
Redelliza A. Gruezo.
According to Maligaya, the organization harvested 33,679 kilos of tomatoes this month, and they expect it to grow even more in the coming months with the department's help.
One of the most colorful and largest harvest festivals in the country takes place in May. It is a tribute to the abundant harvest and was dedicated to the patron saint of farmers, San Isidro Labrador, in 1963. (with report from Department of Agriculture RFO 4-A)
