BALETE, Batangas - The Mayor, Vice Mayor, and the Town Council of the Balete, Batangas, recognized Governor ,Hermilando "DoDo" Mandanas  for his successful and historical promotion of the draft petition, which was upheld and approved by the Supreme Court and is now better known nationwide as the Mandanas Ruling.

Balete Mayor Wilson Maralit and Vice Mayor Alvin Payo, along with the Balete Municipal Government councilors, personally presented the Plaque of Appreciation to Mandanas on May 30, 2022, at the DREAM Zone, Capitol Compound, Batangas City, in conjunction with the Provincial Government of Batangas' weekly salute on the Philippine flag. The governor was also recognized by a resolution passed by the entire Sangguniang Bayan of Balete.



The Mandanas Ruling will increase the National Tax Allocation base fund, allowing local governments to quickly implement necessary projects, particularly essential services.

In an interview with Mayor Maralit of B’yaheng Kapitolyo, the official radio program of the provincial government, he said the Mandanas Ruling is a considerable help for Local Government Units, especially their compatriots in Balete town.



He mentioned that they have increased their budget by ₱33 Million, which is a big help in implementing pending projects in their municipality. One of the main plans of such a town is the completion of their new municipal building to implement the expected use of the old municipal building as a district hospital.

Simultaneously with the recognition activity, Governor Mandanas led the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected officials of the Sto. Tomas includes Mayor Arth Jun Marasigan and Vice Mayor Cathy Perez, along with members of the City Council.
