CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 4-A has warned the public about a scheme that promises a secure position as a Fire Officer 1 in exchange for large sums of money.
BFP 4-A issued the advisory after their office received reports of impersonating agents or recruiters.
BFP 4-A advises applicants to be cautious and not be misled by such illegal activity, as they only accept those who have passed their recruitment process and the Civil Service Commission's guidelines.
They also stated that the BFP does not charge a recruitment fee, so they are reminded not to be scammed by fraudulent or illegal activities.
The agency condemned the activities, stating that they were illegal and that those caught violating policies and regulations would face the consequences.
According to the agency, official recruitment procedures are already posted and visible on the BFP Regional Office 4A website, recruitment portal, or Facebook account. People can use E-mail to check the status of an applicant's application.
Anyone who can report additional information or complaints about such recruitment scams can be reported to the BFP Region 4-A Admin Division. Please call 0939-081-9373 or 0927-513-4592 or e-mail reportcorruption.practices.2021@gmail.com. (with reports from BFP Region 4-A )
