CATANAUAN, Quezon - Residents of Barangay 10, Poblacion, now fully own their land, thanks to a recent massive title award by the local government.
According to Mayor Ramon Orfanel, the 'Handog Titulo' program aims to provide their countrymen with the opportunity to transfer the lands on which they live by RA 10023 or the granting of free patents to the occupying residents. on residential property
The mayor also stated that the local government's efforts, led by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Catanauan, greatly assist their countrymen in obtaining their land titles.
Based on RA 10023, the government allows Filipino citizens to apply for title to residential land to legally own it.
Through ‘Handog Titulo’, 88 Residential Free Patents have been translated to the residents with the help of CENRO Catanauan.
“Ipinapakita ng gawaing ito ang resulta ng pagtutulungan ng isang National Government Agency tulad ng DENR [Department of Environment and Natural Resources] at ng lokal na pamahalaan. Kapalit po ng inyong titulo ang habangbuhay na kapanatagan na sa tuwing kayo ay gigising sa umaga, hindi nyo na iisipin na kayo ay paaalisin sa lugar,” said Raymond Rivera of the Quezon Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO).
Rivera also stressed the responsibilities associated with a free title provided by the government, such as paying the proper tax for their identification.
For the local government, the distribution of the Residential Free Patent that their countrymen have been waiting for is historic.
“Isa lamang po ito sa mga serbisyo na amin pong pinoproseso para sa inyo at sa mamamayang Pilipino, nagpapasalamat ako sa suporta na ibinibigay ng Local na Pamahalaan ng Catanauan lalong lalo sa enforcement ng mga batas pang kalikasan,” said CENRO Ramil Gutierrez.
