INFANTA, Quezon - Infantahin aged five to 18 vaccinated against Covid-19 will receive a rice subsidy from the Infanta local government unit (LGU).
According to a Facebook post by the Municipal Government of Infanta on Friday, June 3, 2022, the order of the Municipal Covid-19 Task Force, led by Mayor Filipina Grace R. America, the LGU provides incentives to citizens who participated in the vaccination program through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
Those who received the second dose of vaccination received three (3) kilos of rice and a small amount of canned food; those who received the first dose and booster received two (2) kilos of rice and a small amount of canned food.
Beneficiaries will receive a subsidy regardless of their age or the number of members in the same family or household that has previously received a subsidy.
Vaccinations are still being administered daily from Monday to Friday at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Poblacion 1 and one of the designated barangays.
Meanwhile, no other requirements must be met to receive the subsidy.
According to the local government, people only need to present their vaccination cards.
They said that anyone who has not yet received any vaccine doses is eligible and entitled to the city government's rice subsidy.
Other eligible citizens who do not yet have the Covid-19 vaccine are encouraged to get vaccinated. This is done to provide an additional layer of protection and increase the vaccinated population's percentage.
The requirement for the town to be at alert level 1 is that at least 70% of the population be vaccinated.
The Municipal Covid-19 Task Force is also ramping up vaccination efforts for town government employees.
The local government will continue to vaccinate adults and Infantahin youth aged 12-17 and 5-11.
On June 2, staff from the Municipal Health Office (MHO) partnered with Barangay Health Workers (BHW) to provide services to Infantahin and the surrounding area in Brgy Batican.
It is critical to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to those young people to protect them against the virus and prepare them for the gradual return of face-to-face school attendance in the coming months.
Infanta Local Government encourages all citizens to get vaccinated to protect themselves from Covid 19.
