BATANGAS CITY - In conjunction with Nutrition Month this July, the Batangas city government has highlighted the importance of proper nutrition for infants, children, and pregnant women.

This coincided with the Provincial Nutrition Office's recent Nutrition Symposium and Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning seminar.



Up to 30 residents who are beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and officials of Barangay Sto. Niño participated in the said seminar led by the Provincial Nutrition Office.

According to the Batangas City Public Information Office, its purpose is to provide adequate information on the proper way to breastfeed pregnant and lactating mothers.



Partner of the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM), the symposium also included a discussion on effective Family Planning and proper knowledge of Responsible Parenthood.
