26 corn farmers in Balayan get fuel discount cards


CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - 26 corn growers from Balayan, Batangas, received discount certificates for fuel from the Department of Agriculture (DA) IV-A on June 13.

The DA offers discounts to qualifying farmers negatively impacted by increased gasoline prices as part of its Fuel Discount Program.



Each discount card contains P3,000 that can be used to purchase fuel from the department's partner gas stations.

They must have documentation proving they own agricultural machinery and be registered with the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture to benefit from the program.



DA 4-A targets to reach 587 farmers in the province of Batangas with affiliate assistance. (report from DA 4-A)
