INFANTA, Quezon - Through the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Program, the Infanta Local Government, in collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare Development (MSWD), recently distributed cash cards to eligible Infantahin beneficiaries.
The UCT of the Department of Welfare and Social Development (DWSD) is the most extensive TRAIN Law tax reform mitigation program. Its primary objective is to provide cash grants to low-income families and individuals, particularly senior citizens who cannot work.
UCT is a cash subsidy to help poor Filipinos and refers to social welfare benefits under the TRAIN Law.
The DSWD, with the assistance of its National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) information management system, identified the families covered by the program.
This is a great help to residents who have been greatly affected by the increase in commodity prices, especially during the pandemic.
